Camp Ekar

This unique summer camp on Denver’s Jewish urban farm enriches kids’ connections to Judaism, the Earth, and their community. Camp Ekar invites Denver youth to participate in a week of engaging hands-on educational activities on Ekar Farm! This camp will include a variety of fun summer activities such as: farm work and gardening, environmental and Jewish learning, music, story-telling, games, farm-to-table snack preparation, science, and sustainable and food-based arts & crafts. Campers will enjoy Camp Ekar in the morning and join back in with Camp Shai for an afternoon of fun. Pick up and drop off for Camp Ekar will be at the JCC. We’ll provide transportation will be provided to EKAR Farms and back.

 

Camp Inc. Business Academy

4th – 6th Grade (June 19 – 23)
$400 friend, $480 guest

Learn how to turn an idea into a business in 5 days! It’s Shark Tank day camp! This program is for entering 4th, 5th and 6th graders who are creative and inventive, love solving problems, and are interested in helping the world and making money at the same time. In just 5 days, campers will learn what it takes to be the next great entrepreneur.  Campers will form a startup team with other campers, come up with a company name and logo, build a prototype, survey potential customers, determine their costs, meet with successful entrepreneurs and develop a startup pitch to be given to real investors on Friday!

7th – 9th Grade (June 10 – 21)
Rates: $750 friend, $915 guest

Learn how to come up with a great idea and turn it into your own business in 10 days! It’s Shark Tank day camp! This program is for entering 7th, 8th and 9th graders who are creative and inventive, love solving problems, and are interested in helping the world and making money at the same time. In just 10 days, campers will learn what it takes to be the next great entrepreneur.  After deciding on a fantastic new idea, they will form a team with other campers, come up with a company name and logo, build a prototype, survey potential customers, determine their costs, get a backstage tour of an exciting company, meet one on one with successful entrepreneurs, and develop a startup pitch to be given to real investors on the last day of camp!
